Detection tells somebody that a fire has started. Automatic suppression does something about it. The Fire Knight builds systems that watch a space continuously, confirm a real fire across several sensors, release at the source and tell you what happened, without waiting for a person to arrive, reach a valve or press anything.
Traditional fire response relies on someone noticing the fire, raising the alarm, and taking action. But modern fires can escalate far faster than people can respond. Research by the Fire Safety Research Institute found that rooms with synthetic furnishings can reach flashover in just 3–5 minutes, compared with around 30 minutes with natural furnishings.
Fire services may take longer to arrive average response times in England are 8 minutes 15 seconds for dwelling fires and 9 minutes 12 seconds for other buildings. That critical gap can allow a small fire to become a major incident.
The Fire Knight helps close that gap. With automatic detection and rapid suppression, our intelligent fire protection systems can respond at the source helping control fires within the crucial first moments, before they have time to escalate.
Automatic suppression is not needed everywhere. It is needed wherever the first few minutes will pass with nobody able to act.
Control cabinets, switch rooms and battery enclosures are closed by design. A fire inside one is well established before anything outside the panel door notices it.
Hot surfaces, hydraulic lines and lubricant residue sit behind guarding, where a person could not safely reach the seat of a fire even if they saw it start.
Offices, shops, warehouses and plant rooms stand empty for most of the week. An alarm still sounds, but there is nobody inside to answer it.
Fires begin in engine bays, battery compartments and hydraulics, out of sight of the operator, and the asset is often parked in a yard when the fault finally surfaces.
Substations, forestry blocks, farm assets and telecom compounds have no staff, often no mains power, and a fire service that is a long way away.
Server rooms, archives and laboratories hold assets where the damage from a late response, or from the wrong suppressant, exceeds the value of the room itself.
Most systems on the market release automatically and stop there. A heat sensitive tube bursts, or a heat cable signals a panel, and the agent discharges. That works, and it has protected machinery for decades, but heat alone is a late signal and it tells nobody anything. The Fire Knight systems confirm a fire across flame sensing, rate of rise heat and gas monitoring before releasing, capture a still image immediately before activation, and then report what happened to the people responsible.
More than one sensing method has to agree, which is what makes automatic release acceptable in an occupied or trading space.
A still image captured immediately before activation gives you and your insurer a record rather than an argument.
Fault, low battery and connectivity warnings arrive before they matter, which is the failure mode that disables most protection.
Sensors watch the protected space continuously. Depending on the unit that means infrared flame sensing, rate of rise heat, gas monitoring, or linear heat detection routed along a machine.
Signals are cross checked before anything is released, so steam from a kitchen, dust in a workshop or a passing heat source does not trigger a discharge.
Suppressant is delivered at the seat of the fire rather than across the whole area, which keeps the quantity used low and makes recovery faster.
Alerts reach named people by app, SMS and email for a fire event, a discharge, a low battery or a fault, so the response continues after the unit has done its part.
We are not a traditional fire extinguisher company. We engineer autonomous suppression systems, a fundamentally different category of fire protection technology.
All Fire Knight systems are protected under International Patent Application No. PCT/AU2023/050224, filed across Australia, India, the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada and Europe. This is original, protected engineering rather than repackaged equipment.
Detection, decision and release all happen at the unit. No control room, no operator and no command are required for the system to act.
Beyond basic smoke and heat, our systems use infrared flame detection, gas sensing including CO, CO2 and methane, and rate of rise temperature analysis, so a genuine threat is separated from ordinary activity.
All suppression uses water based, non toxic and biodegradable agents, safe around people, livestock, crops, soil and water, and simpler to clean up than powder or foam.
Every system reports to an app, by SMS and by email. Remote monitoring turns one operator into cover for many sites, including sites nobody visits for weeks.
Engineered to ASME BPVC VIII Div.1, EN 13445, PD 5500, NATA, CE and ISO 9001 standards. Compliance documentation is available for regulatory submissions, insurance purposes and procurement approvals.
The detection and response logic is shared. What changes is the sensing, the power source and the way the agent is delivered.
Boundaries, forestry, farms and remote infrastructure, where there is no power and no water main.
Homes, offices, hotels, retail and warehouses, protected from the ceiling downward.
Electrical cabinets, server rooms, battery enclosures, telecom shelters and compact spaces.
Passenger vehicles and EVs, buses, commercial trucks and heavy machinery.
Mining equipment, haul trucks, excavators, generators and electrical enclosures on plant.
Outdoor, wildfire and remote infrastructure protection, running off grid.
Indoor rooms and floors in homes, offices, hotels, retail and warehouses.
Cabinets, server rooms, battery enclosures and telecom shelters.
Vehicles, fleets, public transport and heavy machinery.
Mining equipment, haul trucks, excavators, generators and enclosures.
An automatic system spends years doing nothing visible. These six practices decide whether it still performs on the day it matters.
List the ignition sources, the fuel present and the hours each space is unattended. Unit placement follows that, not a product catalogue.
Smoke sensing fails outdoors, heat sensing is late in a clean room, and dusty workshops defeat devices chosen for an office.
Nozzle aim and detector position decide performance. Record the installed design so whoever services it later knows what it protects.
Detection, alerting, pressure and agent level all need planned checks, following the manufacturer instructions and the standard that applies where you operate.
An alert sent to somebody who left the company two years ago is the same as no alert. Review recipients whenever the team changes.
New racking, a rewired cabinet or a changed process can move the hazard away from the coverage that was correct at handover.
Intelligent automatic fire suppression systems detect, respond to, and suppress fire threats automatically, helping control fires before they escalate and cause extensive damage.
It is a system that detects a fire and releases a suppressant on its own, with no person required to notice it, decide or act. The differences between products come down to what they sense, how quickly that signal appears, and whether the system tells anyone afterwards.
That is what multi sensor confirmation is for. Flame, rate of rise heat and gas sensing have to agree before release, which separates a genuine fire from cooking steam, workshop dust, welding or a passing heat source.
No. The Fire Knight systems are fire suppression aids and are not classified as fire extinguishers. Required detection, alarm and suppression provisions stay in place, along with your fire risk assessment. These units cover the minutes and the places that building wide systems were never designed to reach.
Yes. Our units run on mains with battery backup, or on a solar supported battery outdoors. Pneumatic tube systems need no power at all, which is a genuine advantage of that technology, and the trade is that they respond to heat alone and report nothing.
Whether you are protecting one room, a fleet, a plant or a portfolio of sites, The Fire Knight can help you work out where your current cover stops and what it would take to close that gap.
